Čtyřiatřicetiletá fotografka z Texasu Norah Levine vášnivě miluje zvířata, a z tohoto důvodu se věnuje právě fotografování právě (nejen) čtyřnohých přátel. Kromě toho spolupracuje s různými útulky a v rámci tohoto projektu pracovala s programem „4PAWS“, který poskytuje lidem bez domova možnost se náležitě postarat o své chlupaté miláčky. Díky této službě můžou lidé bez domova ve státě Texas získat pro své mazlíčky možnost bezplatné vakcinace a jiné veterinární pomoci.

„Setkávali jsme se s bezdomovci, informovali je o možnostech využití programu „4PAWS“, a také nosili krmivo pro jejích mazlíčky,“ říká Norah. Autorka chtěla ve svých fotografiích poukázat především na to, že spojení člověka a zvířete může být velmi silné nehledě na finanční a celkovou životní situaci. Zmínila se taktéž, že s většinou zvířat, které viděla během projektu, bylo zacházeno s láskou a respektem.

„Během projektu jsem si uvědomila, že svět není černobílý. Každý má svou jedinečnou situaci, a je třeba se do ní vcítit dříve, než začít soudit.“
